WHY ART?
A few times I’ve been asked the question, “Why art? How did you start painting?” I mean “Why not Art?” Life is Art.

A few times I’ve been asked the question, “Why art? How did you start painting?”
I mean “Why not Art?”
Life is Art.
I make art for a few reasons. Well, a lot of reasons.
When it comes to someone like me who struggles many times in expressing my own emotions, I’ve come to realize that many of us in this world as well tend to experience merely fragments of our thoughts and feelings. To me, art brings everything together. Through Art, I’ve found ways to answer questions such as: “How can I make an impact?” “How can I come up with new ideas?” “How do I serve the world?” “Myself?” Art brings me relief. It acts as a bridge and forms a connection between me and the rest of the world. It’s a voice that enables me to speak without having to utter a word.
I make art because I enjoy the process. Honestly, It’s fun.
I love working with my hands. I like to make things from scratch. I like looking at a blank canvas one day then a few weeks, a few months later, or even a year later, it becomes a story.
The possibilities are endless.
There are no limits when it comes to creating. I like to push my boundaries. I like to challenge myself in seeing the world in a new way or in different aspects. I love to experiment. I started off sketching my ideas at first then I was drawn to painting. First with acrylics, then I discovered oils, then I discovered watercolors, then I discovered alcohol inks, then I discovered charcoal...The list keeps adding on. Each Idea of mine manifests in its own style. Art is freedom. In a world where you are constantly governed by standards, rules, ideologies. Not to mention our society’s obsessive inclination of seeking perfection. I find joy in being unrestricted.
Unbound.
There are countless other reasons why as a society we create art. Reasons that are apparent. Reasons that are indescribable. Reasons that are unimportant. Reasons that make a difference. No matter the case, art is just an important aspect of being human.
